This statement is aimed to accurately describe the facilities and services that we provide for our guests and visitors
We welcome all guests to our hotel, restaurant and inn, including guests with an impairment which could include mobility, sight, hearing and learning disabilities.

Before you arrive

The nearest train station is Oxenholme Lake District. It is 4.5 miles away and takes approximately 10 minutes by car
We recommend that you discuss your requirements with our reception team at the time of booking to ensure the most suitable room is allocated to you

Car parking and arrival

Our car park is located just off the A65 (LA7 7NW) approximately 1 mile from junction 36 of the M6 motorway. There are 2 disabled parking spaces available immediately in front of the main entrance
The hotel, restaurant and inn can all be accessed from the reception entrance. The restaurant and inn can be accessed from the inn entrance on the front roadside of the building. Both entrances are at ground level with no steps
The car park is all one level and is floodlit

Reception

The reception desk is situated n front of you as you enter the reception area which is level throughout. The desk is at an accessible height and has seating available. The floor is wood effect laminate
Reception will explain to guests the locations of their bedroom, the restaurant, the inn and bar areas

Public areas

The corridors are well lit. We have a restaurant and inn (encompassing a second restaurant and bar area) which are located on the ground floor and can be accessed from reception without any steps. There are accessible toilets on the ground floor down the corridor from reception. The flooring throughout is wood effect laminate

Restaurant and Inn

Both are located on the ground floor and can be accessed from the reception without any steps. Chairs are without arms. We can provide chairs with arms on request. Lighting is natural daylight and wall and ceiling lights. Flooring is wood effect laminate
Breakfast is a buffet style continental selection with tea, coffee, toast and cooked dishes served to the table. We would be delighted to serve you a continental selection if required

Accommodation

We have 31 bedrooms in total, 14 of which are located on the ground floor. A lift is available to all other accommodation from reception
Bedrooms are bright and well lit by ceiling and wall lights and desk lamps. Bathrooms are all en-suite and are well lit with ceiling lights
Bedroom flooring is short pile carpet. Bathroom floors are all tiled. A non-slip bath mat can be provided on request

Function suites/Conference rooms/Private dining

We have 3 function suites/conference rooms/private dining areas
Our Cumbrian suite is on the ground floor and is accessible from reception up 1 small step. All furniture is movable. Flooring is wood effect laminate. Lighting is natural daylight and ceiling lights. Chairs are without arms. We can provide chairs with arms on request
Our Westmoreland and Hayloft suites are on the first floor. Access is available via a lift from reception. All furniture is movable. Flooring is short pile carpet and wood effect laminate. Lighting is natural daylight and ceiling and wall lights. Chairs are without arms. We can provide chairs with arms on request

Terraces and outdoor seating

There is a large seating terrace outside the reception area. It is paved and is all on one level. There is a seating area outside the bar area. It is gravelled and is all on one level

Toilets

The main toilets are situated along the corridor from reception. There is an accessible toilet with horizontal and vertical grab rails and lever arm taps. The flooring is wood laminate effect

Additional Information

The fire alarm system uses bells. We are able to provide assistance if you make us aware of this requirement
Should any medication require refrigeration, please make the reception team aware of this at the time of booking
Should any measurement of the hotel building be required, including corridor lengths, door widths, toilet heights etc, we would be very happy to provide these upon request
